Agnes Gwynette Readmond Ferguson, 86, of Hollywood died July 7, 2012, at MedStar St. Mary’s Nursing Center.

Born June 4, 1926, in Hollywood, she was the daughter of the late James Leonard Readmond and Emma Estelle (Wallace) Readmond.

She is survived by her daughters, Doris M. Howe (John) of Hollywood and Gail L. Ferguson (John Speight) of Landis, N.C.; her grandchildren, John M. Howe (Linda) of Mechanicsville, John S. Howe III (Caroline) of Abell, James M. Howe (Norma) of Leonardtown, Philip W. Howe of Hollywood and Christopher E. Ridgell (Jen) and Amber D. Clay, both of Landis; great-grandchildren, Sean M. Howe, Jaiden Q. Howe and Ashtyn S. Howe, all of Hollywood, Sheldon S. Howe and Clyde M. Howe of Leonardtown and Landon Ridgell, Kamden Ridgell and David Clay of Landis; her siblings, Joseph L. Readmond, Robert I. Readmond (Margaret Ann) and William C. Readmond (Sue) of Hollywood, Catherine L. Jones (John) of Bryans Road and Jean E. Davis (Carl) of Bedford, Texas; many nieces and nephews; and her cherished friend, Marge Beaudwin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, John F. Readmond and James P. Readmond.

The family will receive friends Thursday, July 12, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Brinsfield Funeral Home in Leonardtown, where a funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. John Wunderlich on Friday, July 13, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Joy Chapel Cemetery in Hollywood. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Chris Ridgell, Binks, James and Wally Howe; and great-grandsons, Sean and Sheldon Howe.
