Eric Lorenzo Jones, 49, of Washington, D.C., died July 4, 2012.

Born March 2, 1963, he was the son of Marian Theresa Jones-Edwards and the late Charlie Thompson.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his stepfather, Lincoln Edwards; a son, Alonzo Thompson of Laurel; two stepbrothers, William “Billy” Edwards of Fort Washington and Mark Edwards (Teisha) of Severn; a half-brother, Terry Thompson of California; four uncles and five aunts, some of whom live in St. Mary’s County; a host of cousins; and other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 11, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Briscoe-Tonic Funeral Home in Waldorf, where a service will be held at 2 p.m. Interment will be private.
