Four children transported to specialty center for non-life-threatening injuries

Seven people were injured Tuesday afternoon after a car crash in Clinton, according to Prince George’s County Fire/EMS officials.

Mark Brady, a spokesman for the county Fire/EMS department, said fire/EMS personnel responded to a two-vehicle crash around 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of Woodyard and Rosaryville roads and found seven injured.

Officer Edward Martin, a county police spokesman, said Wednesday that a tow truck and a Dodge Caravan collided at the intersection, but that the investigation into the crash was still ongoing.

Brady said four of those injured were children under the age of 10. The children were all being transported to a “specialty center” in Washington, D.C. One adult was transported to a trauma center for “serious,” but non-life-threatening injuries, while two adults were sent to a nearby hospital for “checkups,” according to Brady.

Brady said Tuesday that none of the injuries “appeared to be life-threatening.”
