The Office on Aging is looking for volunteers to lead Living Well workshops. The Living Well program was developed at Stanford University to help people with chronic conditions gain self-confidence to manage their own health. Topics include pain and fatigue management, exercise, healthy eating, medication management, communication, depression and problem solving. Training is four days designed to teach the skills and provide the information necessary to successfully lead the workshop. It will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 19, 20, at Calvert Pines Senior Center in Prince Frederick. If interested, call Keri Lipperini at 410-535-4606 or 301-855-1170.
Nominate a county fair king, queen
Nominate individuals aged 55 or older that reside in Calvert County for king and queen of the 2012 Calvert County Fair. Persons nominated should have served or should currently serve the community through volunteer work. This event is sponsored by the Calvert County Fair Board. All selections, recognition and prizes are decided and issued by the board.

The $70 fee includes transportation, lunch and show.
