A person was killed Wednesday night on the Capital Beltway near the exit for Colesville Road when a car crashed into a vehicle parked on the shoulder of the highway.
Maryland State Police say three people were standing outside the parked vehicle and one was still inside it when it was struck by the other vehicle sometime before 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.
All four were transported to the hospital, where one succumbed to injuries. No one is being identified at this time.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor in this incident.
