Frederick resident Frank R. Goldstein, of Severn, OíConnor & Kresslein, P.A., was appointed to the Business Law Section Council of the Maryland State Bar Association.
Goldstein is the first lawyer in the history of the association to be appointed to the council who is not from Baltimore City or Montgomery County, according to a press release.
He has been at the firm since 2011, and was formerly a partner in the Washington, D.C., offices of Sidley Austin LLP and Piper & Marbury, now DLA Piper, where he was a founding partner of the Washington office. Goldsteinís current practice includes representation of Frederick area businesses and individuals.
The councilís purpose is to promote the objects of the association within the field of corporate banking and business law, to bring together members of the association, and to further the study and development of applicable law.
He is active in the Rotary Club of Frederick and is chairman of the Business Law Section of the Frederick County Bar Association.
