Mabel McLaughlin Langley, 89, of Waldorf died July 11, 2012, in St. Leonard.
She was born May 12, 1923, in Oakhill, W. Va., to the late George and Ella Mae McLaughlin.
She worked in a straw factory and was a switchboard operator and accountant in the Washington, D.C., area. Her interests were photography, sewing and making jelly.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James T. Langley; son, Leonard L. Langley; and sister, Virginia Kerge.
She is survived by her sister, Kathleen Lambert; son, James T. Langley; daughters, Linda R. Kimble, Julia I. Foster and Ella J. Langley; companion, Dennis LaValle; 14 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, until the time of service at 1:30 p.m. at Raymond Funeral Chapel in La Plata.
Interment will be at 3 p.m. at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Cheltenham.
