Clements William Copsey III, 35, of Mechanicsville was released on $5,000 bond from his arrest last weekend on charging papers alleging he went into a woman’s home on July 6 after she told him their four-year relationship was over, and twice grabbed her by the neck in the kitchen.

Copsey was charged with committing a first-degree burglary and second-degree assault on Marcy R. Bowie at the Wicomico Shores residence, through the investigation by sheriff’s Cpl. Deborah Milam.
