A Bowie man was arrested in Prince George’s County on a warrant charging him for allegedly burglarizing a Calvert County home.

According to a Prince George’s County Sheriff’s Office press release, Richard K. Lee, 47, conducted transactions at two pawn shops between March 8 and 10 pawning jewelry that was allegedly stolen during a burglary in Calvert County.

Prince George’s deputies investigating Lee’s whereabouts were led to the home of his estranged wife in Bowie, the press release states, where Lee was found hiding in an upstairs bedroom and arrested without incident. Lee’s wife also was arrested and charged with harboring a fugitive and false statement to an officer after repeatedly telling deputies she had not seen Lee and he was not in the house. Lee and his wife were taken to the Prince George’s County Correctional Center.

Five warrants for Lee for theft, failure to appear in court for a second-degree assault charge, violation of probation, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, failure to appear in court for disorderly conduct and failure to appear in Calvert County court for first-degree burglary were closed.
