Mabel McLaughlin Langley, 89, of Waldorf died July 11, 2012, in St. Leonard.
She was born May 12, 1923, in Oakhill, W.Va., to the late George and Ella Mae McLaughlin.
She had worked in a straw factory and was a switchboard operator and accountant in the Washington, D.C., area. Her interests were photography, sewing and making jelly.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James T. Langley; son, Leonard L. Langley; and sister, Virginia Kerge.
She is survived by her sister, Kathleen Lambert; son, John T. Langley and his wife, Patricia; daughters, Linda R. Kimble, Julia I. and her husband, Maurice Foster, and Ella J. Langley and companion, Dennis LaValle; 14 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation and funeral services were July 17 at Raymond Funeral Chapel in La Plata.
Interment was at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Cheltenham.
