Oxon Hill man found dead in St. Charles

Staff writerPolice are investigating what is believed to be a homicide after a body was found inside a vehicle in Waldorf on Sunday morning.
At 11:34 a.m. July 15, officers noticed a vehicle several yards off the roadway near Piney Church Road and St. Linus Drive in Waldorf, according to a news release from the Charles County Sheriff’s Office.
Inside the vehicle, officers found the body of Michael Eugene Milstead Jr., 32, of Oxon Hill.
According to police, forensics officers processed the scene and Milstead’s body was sent to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore where the exact cause of death will be determined.
“This is a homicide but we’re not going to release the cause of death at this time,” sheriff’s office spokeswoman Diane Richardson said.
As of 1 p.m. Tuesday, no further information was released regarding the apparent homicide.
“Our detectives are working leads in this case and no further information is available at this time,” Richardson said.
