Jacobs earns degreeSteven Tramaine Jacobs of Lexington Park graduated from Becker College in Worcester, Mass., at the collegeís commencement ceremony held May 14 at the Hanover Theatre in Worcester. Jacobs earned a bachelor of science in business administration degree .
Mount St. Maryís announces deanís list
Mount St. Maryís University has announced that 559 students earned deanís list honors for the spring 2012 semester at the university in Emmitsburg.
Those students include Ami DíAmbrosio, a freshman from Charlotte Hall and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John DíAmbrosio; Erin Leddy, a junior from Great Mills and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Leddy; Ashley Lyle, a senior from Mechanicsville and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Neil Lyle; Charles Mays, a junior from Charlotte Hall and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Mays; and Leigh Tippett, a freshman from Charlotte Hall and the daughter of Sharon Tippett and Joseph Tippett.
Miller graduates from Wake Forest
Morgan Miller of Lexington Park received a bachelor of arts degree from Wake Forest University in Winston Salem, N.C., during the universityís commencement exercises May 21.
Robeson, Johnston honored
Washington College in Chestertown has announced that Lindsay Robeson of Chaptico and Michael Johnston of St. Maryís City were named to the the collegeís deanís list for the spring 2012 semester.
Robeson is a junior at the school, where she is a psychology major. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffery J. Robeson.
Johnston is a sophomore at the school. He is the son of Mrs. Tracey E. Johnston .
Kasko makes deanís list
Spencer A. Kasko, a member of the Class of 2012 at Colby College in Waterville, Maine, was named to the dean's list for his outstanding academic achievement during the spring semester of the 2011-2012 year. Kasko is the son of Laura Kasko of Mechanicsville and was home-schooled.
Gailey noted for academic achievement
Rebecca Rose Gailey of Mechanicsville was named to the deanís list/honor roll for the spring semester of the 2011-2012 academic year at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Gailey, who was a senior at the university at the time, was pursuing a double major in international studies and journalism and mass communications.
JMU announces graduates
Jenna Stone of California, Jacquelyn McKay of Hollywood, Elizabeth Palmer of Leonardtown and Olivia Ponse of Leonardtown graduated from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va., during the universityís May 5 commencement exercises.
Stone earned a bachelor of science degree in communication studies. McKay graduated with a master of arts degree in teaching. Palmer graduated with a bachelor of business administration degree in marketing. Ponse graduated with a bachelor of science degree in mathematics.
Wallace honoredJasmine Terri Wallace of Lexington Park was named to the deanís list at the University of Memphis for the spring 2012 semester.
Dobberstein honored at Baylor
Pamela Renee Dobberstein of Lexington Park was named to the deanís list at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, for the 2012 spring semester. Dobberstein is a student in the universityís college of arts and sciences.
