Donna Marie Bryan, 57, of Waldorf died July 20, 2012, at Inova Alexandria Hospital, Alexandria, Va.
Born Aug. 13, 1954, in Albuquerque, N.M., she was the daughter of Paul Miller Jr. of Waldorf and the late Mildred Mabel Miller.
She was a receptionist and secretary for business offices for many years and a member of Calvary Gospel Church in Waldorf. She was a graduate of Liberty High School in 1972 in Bethlehem, Pa. She attended Zion Bible Institute from 1975 to 1977 in Rhode Island and then Central Bible College in Missouri. She worked in Gila Bend Indian Reservation in Phoenix, Ariz. She attended the Assembly of God graduate school in Missouri. She was a counselor at an Indian camp in Canada and a teacher at an American Indian college in North Dakota.
She worked as an election judge in Charles County from 2006 to 2008 and for the Census Bureau in Charles County and Pennsylvania. She was active in Sunday school and teaching at all of her churches.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband of 20 years, Robert Alan Miller; daughter, Jessica Carter of Maine; brothers, Roger T. Sr. and his wife, Donna Hoar of New York and Waldo and his wife, Stella Hoar of Maine; sisters, Sally and her husband, Gary Smith of California, Susanne Miller of Maine, Robin and her husband, Mike Haschalk of Maine, Rosie Hoar of Maine, Joann and her husband, Rick Zimmerman of Virginia and Florence Fox of Oklahoma; grandchildren, Thomas, Keith and Baylee; and many nieces and nephews.
A gathering will be held from 11:30 a.m. until time of memorial service at 1 p.m. July 28 at Calvary Gospel Church. The Rev. Timothy Wood will officiate. Burial will be private.
