Timothy L. Elder, 23, of Lusby remained in St. Mary’s jail in lieu of $75,000 bond after a court hearing Friday on charging papers alleging he broke into three homes and stole jewelry and firearms.

Elder took part in entering Carol Norwood’s home in Hollywood on May 25, going through a window into James Oliver’s Bushwood residence on June 18 and breaking into Terri Johnson’s home that same day in Chaptico, according to a statement of probable cause filed by St. Mary’s detective Cpl. David Alexander. The missing property, including three rifles and a handgun taken from Oliver’s home, had a total value of more than $17,000.
