Bob Bower, exalted ruler of St Mary’s County Elks Lodge 2092, presents a $2,000 check to members of the Hollywood Volunteer Fire Department. The funds, provided by the Elks Grand Lodge through the Gratitude Grant program, were used to purchase a 911 simulator. The fire department uses the simulator to teach young children how and when to call 911. Pictured from left are Kimberly Sullivan, Michael Sullivan (Maryland firefighter of the year for 2011), Nick Davis (holding 911 simulator), Bower, Marie Hankinson, Scott Hankinson and Albert Johnson. Kneeling in front are Connor Herlihy, Robert Twigg, Ian McDonald and Tim Vallandingham.
