Two white men wearing masks and light-colored clothing tried to break in to the Dunkin’ Donuts at 3510 Crain Highway in Waldorf around 12:59 a.m. Saturday, police reported.

The first officer to respond to the store arrived within a minute of its alarm going off and noticed a damaged window.

Charles County sheriff’s officers established a perimeter and a police dog checked the building. Police recovered evidence indicating that two white men about 6 feet tall, one of average build and the other heavyset, had tried to break into the store.

It appears both men fled the area after the alarm activated.
