Donald Hugh Gray, 79, of Navarre, Fla., died June 30, 2012, at his residence.

He was born May 16, 1933, in Prince Frederick to the late Ida Vietta and Charles A. Gray Sr.

He was raised in Calvert County and graduated from Calvert High School in 1951. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1951 and was honorably discharged in 1955. After the military, he pursued a career with the Gulf Oil Co. and retired from the Bethlehem Steel Corp. at Sparrows Point. He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars as well as a member of Florida Post 4407 for 18 years.

He is survived by his longtime companion of 36 years, Margaret Delehunt; son, Darryl and his wife, Wanda, of Baltimore; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and brothers, Charles Jr., Michael and Carter.

Interment was at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Prince Frederick.
