Two men were arrested July 30 after an officer found nearly 40 bags of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in their car during a late-night traffic stop in Waldorf, Charles County sheriff’s officers reported.
Officer J. Morales pulled the car over at 11:37 p.m. near the intersection of U.S. 301 and Mattawoman Drive after seeing it on the roadway with its headlights turned off.
When he walked up to the car, Morales noticed the smell of marijuana. After a search, he found nearly 40 bags of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
The driver, Jules Sundeilo Harden, 21, of Hampton, Va., and passenger, Marqui Deshwan Worthy, 20, of Waldorf, were charged with drug possession with intent to distribute, marijuana possession and four counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.
They have been ordered held on $20,000 bond.
