Rachel Elizabeth Kery of Owings graduated from Wellesley College with a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience and anthropology on May 25 and was awarded the Allene Lummis Russell Prize in Neuroscience from the college. Only 66 senior prizes were awarded to members of this year’s 600-student graduating class.

The Allene Lummis Russell Prize in Neuroscience is awarded each year in memory of Allene Lummis Russell, Class of 1946, whose many contributions to education and to the Neuroscience Program at Wellesley College have made a difference in the world. The Russell Prize is given to a graduating senior who has demonstrated exceptional promise through her achievements in research and academics while at Wellesley.
