Anna Marian Scaramella Adinolfi, 95, North Haven, Conn.
Anna Marian Scaramella Adinolfi, 95, of North Haven, Conn., died July 29, 2012, at the Hospital of St. Raphael in New Haven.
She was the wife of Michael Adinolfi, who preceded her in death.
Born in New Haven on Oct. 28, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Philomena Mansi Scaramella. She had lived in North Haven for the past 68 years.
She graduated in 1939 from Albertus Magnus College of New Haven with a bachelor's degree in Romance languages and was a member of the ladies guild and prayer shawl group of St. Therese Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Maria Brooks (Keith) of Haines, Alaska; three sons, Michael Adinolfi (Mary Ann) of North Haven, Vincent Adinolfi (Charlotte Parniawski) of Shelton and Joseph Adinolfi (Marcia) of California; two sisters, Mary Scaramella of Wallingford, Conn., and Josephine Zurolo (Anthony) of North Haven; a brother, Michael Scaramella of New Haven; 10 grandchildren, Michele Adinolfi Lucibello, Michael Adinolfi (Christine), Marissa and Taryn Adinolfi, Ana Adinolfi and her fiancee, Beth Myers, Jim Adinolfi, Jason Adinolfi and his fiancee, Amanda Feldman, Kathryn Adinolfi, David Brooks (Olivia) and Anna Brooks; and three great-grandchildren, Anthony, Isabella and Adrianna Lucibello.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Theresa and Julia Scaramella; and three brothers, Gaetano “Tommy” Scaramella and Louis and Anthony Scaramella.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Aug. 2 at St. Therese Church in New Haven. Interment followed at All Saints Cemetery in North Haven.
Arrangements were handled by Torello-Iacobucci Washington Memorial Funeral Home in North Haven.
