The La Plata Youth Soccer Association Arsenal, a U-14 boys travel soccer team, participated as three teams at the Sand Duels Sand Soccer Tournament in Ocean City on June 9.

Two of the teams, who were bracketed on the same field but in different divisions, won their respective divisions. They then ended up battling each other for their field’s championship, which ended up being decided by penalty kicks. The third team, who was fielded separately in an equally tough grouping, took second after a hard-fought championship game.

In the top row are assistant coach/team manager Keith Emory, Joey Springmann, Miles Smith, Cory Hard, assistant coach John Hart, Kris Lukas, Stone Cole, head coach Scott Wolf and Bradley Reiber. In the second row are Cameron Butler, Nick Rawson, Kristopher Emory, Branden Herscher and Alec Hart. In the third row are Kyle Davis, Sam Simpson, Michael Glorioso, Josh O’Neal, Max Bode, Alston Whalen, Nick Bohn and Shane Wolf.
