Two 14-year-olds have been charged with stealing a small amount of change Wednesday from a car in the area of Copley and Garner avenues in Waldorf, the Charles County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Officers responded to the area for the report of two suspicious juveniles. As the officers approached, the teens fled.

The officers determined the teens had broken in to a car and caught them after a brief chase.

The change, which had been taken from inside the car, was recovered.

Both teens were charged with theft.
