Edward Earl May, 23, Port Republic

Edward Earl “Eddie” May, 23, of Port Republic died Aug. 11, 2012, in Prince Frederick.

Born June 8, 1989, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of George May of Prince Frederick and the late Laura Anderson May.

He lived in Southern Maryland his entire life and was educated in Calvert County schools. He was a certified welder and was employed as a truck mechanic at the time of his death. His many interests and hobbies included hunting, drag racing, mud trucks and living life to the fullest.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandfather, Edward May.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his brothers, Clint May of St. Leonard and Dennis May of Lusby; and grandparents, Anastasia May of District Heights and Richard and Linda Hickey of Huntingtown.

A service was held Aug. 18 at Dunkirk Baptist Church. The Rev. Rick Hancock officiated. Burial was private.

Pallbearers were Corey Wathen, Thomas Parise, Shawn Clifton, Drew Duringer, Samuel Georie and Tyler Shoemaker.

Arrangements were handled by Raymond-Wood Funeral Home, Dunkirk.
