St. Mary’s Ryken Knights head football coach Jerry Franks earned his first victory as the Knights lead man with a 70-0 victory Friday night at home against Victory Christian Academy (Va.).

Ryken scored two plays into its first offensive drive and the scoring continued en route to the win.

Chazz Bradner led the way with three rushing touchdowns for the Knights.

KaDarrius Campbell added two touchdowns, while Damien Jones, George Battle and Brandon Edwards each added one rushing touchdown each.

DeMarco Rojas caught a touchdown pass from Ryan Deal and Josh Carpenter added a punt return for touchdown.

Kicker Sean Garrahan was 10-for-10 in point after kicks in the win.

“It was good, very, very good,” Franks said of his win. “The players played well and we made significant improvements from our first game and that’s very important.”

Ryken improved to 1-1 on the season with Friday’s win and a 40-0 loss to Bullis of Montgomery County in Week 1.

The Knights will host their third straight game on Friday, taking on Bishop O’Connell (Va.) at 7 p.m.
