The Southern Maryland Higher Education Center has announced the start of the Bowie State University masterís of science degree in nursing with the nurse practitioner track this fall, with nine students in two to three courses for the first group. The group draws from all three counties. A second group will start in fall 2013.
In addition, Stevenson University is launching a registered nurse to bachelorís degree in nursing program at SMHEC during 2013. Students may start that program with a course during any of the first three semesters.
The SMHEC campus is at 22619 Airport Road and provides almost 100 programs from 13 universities and colleges.
