A Waldorf man was arrested Sept. 13 on charges including arson after he allegedly set a trash can on fire at R&R Fabrications, where he worked.

Jason B. Anderson, 32, was charged with second-degree arson and malicious destruction of property more than $500.

He was released from the Calvert County Detention Center after posting his $5,000 bond.

Officials were called to investigate a fire July 12 inside the restroom at R&R Fabrications in Prince Frederick, according to a Maryland State Fire Marshal’s press release. Owner Randy Williams told investigators employees quickly extinguished the fire, which caused about $5,000 in damage. No injuries were reported, officials said. Investigation revealed Anderson was responsible for starting the fire, according to the press release.
