The Charles County Sheriff's Office has released a sketch of an man suspected of breaking into a woman’s Waldorf apartment Sept. 5 and ordering her to the floor at gunpoint before fleeing.
The woman told officers, who responded at 10:25 a.m., that she walked inside her apartment in the 4600 block of Prestancia Place to find a man with a gun standing in the foyer.
The man ordered the woman to the floor, and she obeyed him. The man fled moments later and the woman called police.
Detectives are seeking the identity of the man, described as black and in his late 20s to early 30s, standing between 6 feet 3 inches and 6 foot 4 inches tall and weighing between 230 and 240 pounds with a stocky build.
At the time of the break-in, he was wearing a baggy, long-sleeved white T-shirt, loose blue jeans cuffed at the bottom and tan work boots.
There have been no other similar reports, police said.
