David R. Bird Jr., a local financial adviser, has been selected to join the 44-year-old Price Financial Group.
Robert V. Price Jr., owner of PFG since its inception in 1969, met Bird in late 2011 during a search for potential successors and discovered that the two shared a very similar business ethos of always placing client needs first, according to a company news release.
Price attributed PFG’s success to his clients, who provide the referrals that continually grow the business.
“Our clients are fantastic,” Price said in the release. “Their continued referrals allow us to focus on client financial needs instead of marketing and sales. Finding someone in our industry willing to always do what’s right for the person on the other side of the table is rare. David is a great fit for our practice.”
Bird joins Price Fianancial with more than six years of securities experience.
Describing his experience with the company so far, Bird said, “I am fortunate to have the opportunity to work with Rob and Teresa Smith, our office manager. We have a family-style relationship with a multigenerational clientele.”
Bird is a lifelong Maryland resident and has made Charles County his home for 19 years. He participates in civic, political and social organizations.
He and his wife, the former Peggy Sue Keenan, celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary this year and have three grown children.
Price Financial Group specializes in retirement planning, investments, estate planning needs, tax preparation services and insurance services.
