Monte Vito Fiorenza, 46, of Solomons was served an arrest warrant on Sept. 14 by Maryland State Police trooper B.T. Wiesemann for an original charge of armed robbery that allegedly occurred Sept. 4.
According to the state police barrack, Fiorenza was involved in an altercation with person at a location on Jones Wharf Road in Hollywood when Fiorenza allegedly struck the individual in the head with a crowbar. Fiorenza allegedly stole a large amount of money from the individual then left in a car that had been reported stolen.
According to court documents, in addition to the armed robbery charge, Fiorenza was charged with assault, reckless endangerment and various theft charges. According to police, Fiorenza was served a separate bench warrant Sept. 15 issued for Monte Vito Ghattas, an alias, for a charge of driving while impaired on July 6.
