La Plata High School will host the first annual Silver Warriors reunion during its homecoming football game at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 13 versus the Thomas Stone Cougars.

The Silver Warriors homecoming is for anyone who attended La Plata more than 50 years ago during the decades of the 1920s ,1930s, 1940s, 1950s and through the 1966 graduating class.

La Plata 1963 graduates Dale Cornette and Tommy Jameson are spearheading the get-together and requesting the Silver Warriors alumni plan to arrive to the school cafeteria by 12:30 p.m. on homecoming Saturday when they will be welcomed by current principal Evelyn Arnold.

During the game, the Silver Warriors will be encouraged to see which class can make the most noise in rooting La Plata to victory.

After the game, there is a social hour planned at The Greene Turtle in La Plata so classmates can catch up over dinner.
