Charles County government offices and the Tri-County Animal Shelter will be closed Oct. 8 for Columbus Day. The county landfill in Waldorf, the Pisgah Recycling Center, VanGo, the Crain Memorial Welcome Center and county parks and recreation facilities will operate on normal schedules.
