A man who was asked to leave an apartment Saturday in Great Mills was arrested after he allegedly used a ladder to re-enter the residence through a window, the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a residence on Chancellor’s Run Court in Great Mills on Sept. 29 at about 2:15 a.m. for a report of a burglary. The complaint told deputies an earlier unwanted guest, Dionta Quantiaus Taylor, 25, of Great Mills, had been asked to leave his residence, returned and used the ladder to come though his apartment window, according to a police report.

The complainant told police he had not given Taylor permission to enter his residence and Taylor was still inside. Deputies arrested Taylor and told him he was under arrest for fourth degree burglary, according to the police report, which said Taylor was handcuffed and placed in the deputy’s vehicle, where he allegedly kicked and shattered a window of the cruiser. Taylor was also charged with destruction of property.
