Mary Ann Cannon Anderson Marshall, 88, of Hollywood died Sept. 25, 2012.
She was a charter member of the Shrine of Infant Jesus of Prague Catholic Church in Wakefield, Va., and, at the time of her death, was a member of St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Hollywood.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Leslie Cannon and Rosaline Colman Cannon; her husbands, Charles Atkinson “Peto” Anderson Jr. and George N. Marshall Sr.; a son, Charles A. Anderson III; and her brothers, Joseph P. Cannon and Frank Leslie Cannon Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Sara C. Anderson Greenwell; her son-in-law, George D. “Danny” Greenwell Jr.; granddaughter, Sara K. Greenwell; grandsons, Jason S. Marshall, Aaron C. Marshall and Jeffrey Harden; sisters, Cora Elizabeth McEwen and Rosaline E. Yates; sister-in-law, Sadie “Tour” Carson; 12 nieces and nephews; stepdaughter, Mary Ann Harris; and stepson, George N. “Toby” Marshall Jr.
The family received friends and a prayer service was held Sept. 27 at R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, Wakefield Chapel, in Wakefield, Va. A Mass of the Resurrection was celebrated Sept. 28 at the Shrine of Infant Jesus of Prague Catholic Church in Wakefield. Interment followed at Wakefield Cemetery.
