Frances Edith Fenton, 91, White Plains
Frances Edith Fenton, 91, of White Plains died Oct. 2, 2012.
She was born May 30, 1921, in Pittsburgh, Pa.
She lived her adult life in the Washington, D.C., area. First in Northern Virginia where she worked for Safeway and after 30 years she retired and moved to Southern Maryland to be closer to her son, his family and many friends.
Her home was always open to everyone and often provided temporary residence to family members who moved to the District. She took them in and made them feel welcome.
She loved to cook, sew and travel, especially to Ocean City in September staying at the Santa Maria. She enjoyed holidays with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, John “Jack” Fenton.
She is survived by her son, Gerard Deitzer, and his wife, Lillian; stepdaughter, Dorothy Stoltz and her husband, Fred; grandchildren, Brandon Deitzer, Lynette Ashton and her husband, David, Jeremy Deitzer and his wife, Christina, Freddy Stoltz, John and Christian Stoltz and their wives, Kathy and Lee Ann; great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Elizabeth Ashton, Adam, Kristen, Mason, Tyler, Noah, Joshua and Michael Stoltz; and many nieces and nephews.
A service will be held at 11 a.m. Oct. 5 at Huntt Funeral Home, Waldorf. Burial will take place at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf.
