Marie Cecelia Amos, 80, of White Plains died Oct. 2, 2012, at home.

Born July 11, 1932, in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late William Scott and the late Ester Simpson Scott.

Family was the center of her life. Her love for her grandchildren was unparalleled.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of more than 50 years, Robert G. Amos.

She is survived by her children, Linda and her husband, Willie Westervelt, Rob Amos, Lisa Amos, Gary and his wife, Erica Amos, and Jill and her husband, Jay Andrews; grandchildren, Josh Love, April Adams, Brooke Love, Amy and her husband, Brian Patterson, Tyler Westervelt, Skylar Andrews, Noah Amos, and Summer Andrews; and great-granddaughter, Haileigh Patterson.

Burial will be private next to her husband at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham.
