North Point 2, Great Mills 0
On Wednesday night, visiting North Point earned a shutout victory over the Hornets.
The Eagles (3-5-1, 3-3-1 SMAC) won their second straight game and handed the Hornets their first loss of the season.
Coming into Wednesday, Great Mills (6-1, 6-1) had won its first six games of the season and were the lone undefeated team in SMAC.
Senior midfielder Trevor Harris and sophomore forward Jamar Berry scored a goal each in the Eagles victory.
North Point will travel to McDonough on Tuesday night and then take on host Leonardtown on the following day. Both games are scheduled for 6.
North Point 7, Great Mills 1
In girls action on Tuesday, host North Point collected its fourth straight victory with a win over Great Mills.
Sophomore forward Taylor Love led the Eagles (6-2, 6-2) with a hat trick, while Sam Corsey, Lindsay Greene, Kyra Cooke and Morgan Knowlan all had one goal apiece.
During its four-game streak, North Point shut out La Plata (1-0 in overtime), Patuxent (3-0) and Westlake (3-0).
North Point will look to keep its streak alive as it hosts McDonough at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
