Richard “Mark” Webster, 55 of Lusby, formerly of Corry, Pa., died Sept. 20, 2012, at Georgetown University Hospital.

Born Oct. 18, 1956, in Union City, Pa., he was the son of the late Dale Webster and Dona Webster. He was the husband of Rhea Webster, whom he married on July 16, 1977, in Corry.

He graduated from Corry High School in 1974 and joined the U.S. Air Force in 1976. While in the Air Force, he was stationed at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia, Aviano, Italy, Pease Air Force Base in New Hampshire, Seoul, South Korea, and Pope Field in North Carolina. He received the Air Force Commendation Medal, Outstanding Unit Award, Organizational Excellence Award, Good Conduct Medal, Overseas Long Tour Ribbon, Longevity Service Award Ribbon, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon and Air Force Training Ribbon. He was honorably discharged in 1989 after 13 years of service.

He graduated from Webster University in 1991 and worked as an information assurance analyst. He moved to Calvert County in 1998 from Charles County. In his spare time, he enjoyed skiing and playing golf. He was a member of the Freemasons Prince Frederick Lodge 142 and Middleham and St. Peter’s Parish.

He is survived by his mother of Seven Lakes, N.C.; his wife of Lusby; his daughters, Marisa Edmondson and her husband, Kris, of Leonardtown and Lauren Webster of Lusby; siblings, Jeff Webster and his wife, Nancy, of Raleigh, N.C., and Lyn Piccirillo and her husband, Carmen, of New Wilmington, Pa.

A memorial service was held Sept. 28 at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Solomons, with the Rev. Bob Stephenson and the Rev. David Showers officiating. Interment was private.
