Lewis Jack Sprouse, 29, of Harwood died Sept. 9, 2012, in Mechanicsville.
He was a lifelong Chesapeake Bay area resident, an electrician, a member of IBEW Local Union 26 and a waterman who enjoyed fishing and crabbing, as well as playing many sports.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Gearhart.
He is survived by his mothers, Emma Gearhart and Stella Allen; father, Lewis Crosby; daughter, Alexia Lynn Sprouse of Nanjemoy; brothers, Jimmy Gearhart, Morris Allen Jr. and Morris Hockman; sisters, Margie Hangliter of Huntingtown, Amy Barnes and her husband, Bryan, and Angie Remmers and her husband, Charles, Melinda Sprouse, Kathleen Hockman and Felicia Allen; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Sept. 14 at Raymond-Wood Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Schukraft of Huntingtown United Methodist Church officiating.
Interment was private.
