Charles Ron Kopacko, 64, of Charlotte Hall died peacefully Sept. 24, 2012, in New Jersey.
He was born in Uniontown, Pa., raised in Fairbank, Pa., and resided in Charlotte Hall for most of his life.
Prior to retiring in 2003, he was a latent fingerprint specialist for the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington, D.C., for 38 years. Upon retiring, he received a letter of commendation from President George W. Bush.
He enjoyed fishing on the Patuxent River, navigating for his brother-in-law, Tom, in open road race challenges and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by two sons, Kevin and his wife, Tara, and Christopher and his wife, Marisa; a sister, Bernadine and her husband, Thomas; and four grandchildren, Lucas, Quinn, Jack and Chase.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Oct 8 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Mechanicsville.
