Thank you, good Samaritans in Dunkirk and Prince Frederick.

On Tuesday, Sept. 25, at the height of the evening rush hour on Route 4 south, my car broke down in front of Dunkirk Market Place. My 13-year-old daughter and I started pushing the car to get it out of the way of traffic. Two men stopped to help and pushed the car into the Safeway parking lot. While waiting for a tow truck, I tried to start the car again and it started. I canceled the tow truck, headed south to drop my car off at the repair shop in Prince Frederick and made it as far as the hospital at the Route 4 and Stoakley Road intersection when the car conked out again. It didnít take long to create a traffic jam. Almost immediately, two men in trucks stopped to help. One was getting ready to tow me to the repair shop just passed the intersection. I tried starting the car and again it started.

Thank you to all those who stopped and helped. My faith in people is restored.
