Nancy Ann Taylor Hudson, 75, Huntingtown
Nancy Ann Taylor Hudson, 75, of Huntingtown died Sept. 28, 2012, at Washington Hospital Center, Washington, D.C.
Born Feb. 8, 1937, in the District, she was the daughter of the late William and the late Sophia Taylor.
She graduated from McKinley High School on June 16, 1955. She married John William Hudson Jr. on May 27, 1955. She and her husband owned Old Creek Inn and Hudson’s Sunoco and Mini Mart for more than 40 years. After they sold the family business, she spent her time working for Calvert Memorial Hospital in Prince Frederick in numerous positions. She also volunteered in various departments at the hospital. She enjoyed reading, writing, drawing, going to the movies and spending time with her friends and family. She cherished her time with her friend Wilemina Schultz. Together they explored Calvert County and the surrounding areas, trying new restaurants, going to the boardwalk in Solomons to enjoy ice cream and watch and feed the ducks.
She is survived by her husband, John William Hudson Jr.; daughter, Susan and her husband, Stan Tucker; sons, John Hudson III and his wife, Eileen, Michael Hudson, Wayne Hudson and his wife, Sharon, and Joe Hudson and his wife, Jennifer; grandchildren, Steven Morgan, Michael “Shawn” Morgan, Jeremy Hudson, Brad Hudson, Jessica Hudson, Roxanne Gonzales, Kellie Morrison, Jade Hudson and Jordan Hudson; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
Visitation was Oct. 5 at Rausch Funeral Home, Port Republic, where a service was held Oct. 6. Burial was private.
