Thelma Irene Huntzberry, 98, of Prince Frederick died Oct. 9, 2012, at In Godís Care Assisted Living in St. Leonard.

She was born March 29, 1914, in Baltimore to Walter Rowe and Pearl I. Gilbert.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a lifetime member of Randle Cliff Community Church in Chesapeake Beach. She was a practical nurse at Anne Arundel General Hospital in Annapolis, and at Calvert Memorial Hospital in Prince Frederick. During her time of residence at In Godís Care Assisted Living, she and her family received loving care, affection and spiritual support from the caregivers and staff there.

She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Ray Woodrow Huntzberry Sr.; children, Meredith R. and David W.; two grandsons; two great-granddaughters; brother, Leon Gilbert; and sisters, Delores Diffendal and Dolly Frank.

She is survived by her sons, Paul L. Huntzberry and Ray W. Huntzberry and his wife, Jane; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Margaret Gilbert.

Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, Oct. 12, at Rausch Funeral Home in Port Republic.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Brooklyn Park.
