Prime Time Childrenís and Youth Activity Center celebrated its 24th year of caring for Calvertís children at a Fall Festival for the families they serve held Sept. 14.
Children had the chance to ride on a real train, bounce in a moon bounce and have their faces painted, and then saw a balloon transform into an animal right before their eyes. Ritaís Ice joined the event with some sweet treats, PNC Bank came out with goodies for everyone and the GAMES 2 U bus kept all gamers busy playing inside and out of the bus, a press release states.
The dance floor stayed full of little, and not-so-little, dancers who, at dark, were given glow necklaces and bracelets so they glowed as they danced, the release continues. The North Beach Volunteer Fire Department brought in equipment to show and share with everyone as the children toured the fire truck and ambulance, learning what they will hear more about during Fire Prevention Month. Food was prepared by the centerís own chefs and the families of Prime Time. Giant cup stacking took place, as well as hoola hooping and chalk drawings. The night skies were full of bubbles and a cool breeze, and the evening ended with roasting marshmallows at the campfire.
