Carrol leads Cougars at homecoming

Drew Carrol placed fifth to lead the host Cougars at the Homecoming Invitational with Rockbridge Academy and Christian Home Education Network on Sept. 29 at The Calverton School.

Carrol finished in 21 minutes 30 seconds to break up a Rockbridge contingent that took seven of the top eight spots, including winner Alex Bucholz, who finished in 18:46.

Other Calverton finishers in the top 20 included Cristian Davis (ninth, 22:24), Ty Van Dalen (11th, 22:54), Hannah Couto (12th, 23:09), Destiny Colon (14th, 23:24), Catie Spaulding (15th, 23:28), Roman Huntley (16th, 25:23), Barrington Bride (17th, 25:31) and Meredith McAneny (18th, 25:42).
