Three people were treated and released Friday night at MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital after they were injured during altercations in the area of Lexington Park’s Colony Square neighborhood, according to St. Mary’s deputies continuing their investigation this week.
“Several different fights broke out,” a senior sheriff’s deputy said of the melee that occurred at about 8 p.m. at the location off South Shangri-La Drive.
The injured people included a man with a cut to the area of his rib cage, the deputy said, along with a woman with a hand injury and a teenager who was cut on the shoulder.
Lexington Park rescue volunteers and a county advanced life-support team also were dispatched to the area.
Anyone with information about the matter is asked to call sheriff’s deputy Timothy Snyder at 301-475-4200, ext. 9081.
