Reward of $15,000 offered for information
The Charles County Sheriff’s Office released a sketch of a man who shot a man and a woman on Oct. 26 on a foot path near Hampshire Circle in Waldorf.
The attack killed Teresa Ann Bass, 40, of Waldorf. Her husband, whose name has not been released, was listed in serious condition, police said.
A sheriff’s office forensic sketch artist created the sketch based on a witness’s description. The shooter is described as a black male with a light complexion, possibly in his early 20s, about 6 feet tall with a slim build. He might have short, curly hair, a news release from the sheriff’s office states.
Detectives hope the release of the sketch and the increase in the reward will prompt people to call if they have information.
Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 301-932-2222. Callers wishing to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers at 866-411-TIPS, text CHARLES plus the tip to CRIMES or go to www.ccso.us to submit a Web tip.
A reward of up to $15,000 is being offered for the tip that leads to the arrest and indictment of the suspect.
