The public is invited to the Annual Legislative Evening on Wednesday, Nov. 14, sponsored by the League of Women Voters and a coalition of community organizations.

It will take place at Calvert Pines Senior Center, West Dares Beach Road in Prince Frederick. There will be an opportunity to meet with our state legislators from 6:30 to 7 p.m., at which time the program will begin.

The senators and delegates from Districts 27 and 29, who represent Calvert County, have been invited to give their assessments of the upcoming 2013 session in Annapolis. Representatives from local community groups have been invited to address our state legislators. If time permits, the public will be allowed to ask questions or make comments.

The League of Women Voters is a non-partisan organization that works to promote political responsibility through informed and active participation of our citizens in our government. LWV does not support or oppose individuals or political parties. LWV has sponsored two candidate forums this fall and published online voter guides prior to the primary and general elections. A ballot question forum was planned but canceled due to Hurricane Sandy.

Take this opportunity to meet the Annapolis delegation elected by the citizens of Calvert County. For more information, call 419-586-2176.
