An Indian Head man was arrested Oct. 30 after officers found him in possession of a shotgun near where a gunshot had been reported in the 9100 block of U.S. 301 in Bel Alton, the Charles County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Daniel Steve Berry, 24, was charged with reckless endangerment after officers responded to the sound of a gunshot at 8:18 p.m. and found him on the scene with a shotgun and a spent shell casing nearby.

Berry also had an open warrant.
