Thank you to the many corporations, local businesses and individuals who, despite challenging economic times, generously donated their time, products and services, and more than $54,000 to support the Marine Corps Aviation Association John Glenn Squadron scholarship program at our annual golf tournament Sept. 13.
One-hundred percent of net tournament proceeds go to support the scholarship program that, since its inception in 2007, has awarded 45 merit-based scholarships totaling $183,500 to local, tri-county area high school seniors who have pursued a STEM-based degree and shown an intent to work in a career field supporting Naval aviation after graduation.
