The College of Southern Maryland La Plata Campus was unexpectedly closed Monday due to a “water emergency,” according to CSM’s website.

No details on the nature of the emergency were immediately available.

Only the La Plata campus was closed.

An alert went out shortly after 10 a.m. that the campus would be “closed immediately.”

The college plans to reopen at 5 p.m. Monday.
